3.3 Quick Access Toolbar – Intro to Excel 2016

The Quick Access Toolbar
The quick access toolbar shown in FIGURE 1 illustrates its toolbar icons from left-to-right: Save, Undo, Redo, New, Save As, Open 

Note: the default icons that appear are Undo, Redo, Save

To add additional icons to the quick access toolbar, on the right-end of the toolbar there is a downward-pointing arrowhead. Click on it and you will see a drop-down menu as shown in FIGURE 2, “Customize Quick Access Toolbar”.

To see additional commands, select “More Commands” near the bottom. When you select it, you will see a larger dialog box with many additional commands listed, as shown below in FIGURE 3.

On the left side list select the feature(s) desired, press the Add button, and the feature will appear on the right-side list. You can use the up/down arrows to position where you want this added feature to be located on the toolbar.

You can also add features from the Ribbon to the toolbar by right-button mouse clicking the icon on the Ribbon. From the mouse shortcut menu, select Add to the Quick Access Toolbar.
