Introduction to Excel

Hi everyone! This is Jim Scarbrough, your instructor. Welcome to Intro to Excel 2016. First of all I would like to thank each of you for taking the Intro to Excel 2016 course. I applaud your efforts to improve your professional skillset which this course will certainly do. You may be wondering why this Excel course has transitioned to an online status. There are two reasons for taking this course online. First, being an educator and having a firm understanding of the advantages of an online course compared to a live classroom learning environment, I believe that you will learn the material with greater efficiency, depth, and certainly with added convenience. Secondly, due to regional COVID-19 restrictions, it has become important to offer continuing education that meets an educational institution’s requirements while the student obtains their necessary courses.

For those of you new to online learning, you will find that after the initial adjustment of learning the material online you will begin to establish a rhythm that will feel comfortable. I believe after you have completed the course, you will appreciate the advantages of this format. After you have checked out the “About” section that tells you a little bit about me, please go to the Course Information section using the navigation bar above. The first thing you need to see is the course syllabus which shows an outline of the course and what to expect. After reading it, please check out all of the other sections of the Course Information section  before proceeding with Module 1.  If you have any questions, feel free to email me at: jscarbrough@jhsconsulting.com

I wish you all the best and good luck with the course!
